OUR STORY
Growing Around the Needs of Learners
WINA began with focused, personal teaching and has grown carefully in response to the wider needs of learners and families.
A local beginning with a wider purpose
WINA began with focused, personal teaching and a commitment to help learners make progress. As families brought wider needs, the organisation developed carefully around them while protecting the close relationships at the heart of its work.

How WINA evolved
Where WINA began
WINA began with a commitment to help learners improve academically through focused, personal teaching. The early work centred on study support and tuition, building strong relationships with families and helping students develop confidence as well as subject knowledge.
How the organisation evolved
Over time, families brought wider needs: private examination entry, home education support, post-16 resits, Functional Skills, SEND support and alternative learning arrangements. WINA developed in response, gradually bringing these services together within one organisation.

Where we are now
Today, WINA operates across Bexley and Cornwall through independent college programmes, private tuition, an examination centre, and Alternative Provision and SEND support. Growth matters only when it improves the learner experience and protects WINA?s personal culture.
What has not changed
Education still begins with understanding the learner. Progress is strongest when teaching is purposeful, communication is honest and families know somebody is taking responsibility for the next step.
The people behind WINA
A dedicated team supports WINA’s teaching, examinations, safeguarding and specialist provision. Individual portraits can be added here as approved team photography becomes available.
