SAFEGUARDING
Safeguarding Is Everyone's Responsibility
WINA is committed to safe, supportive and respectful environments where children, young people and vulnerable adults are listened to and protected from harm.
Clear responsibilities. Prompt action. Learners first.
Our commitment
Safeguarding takes priority over organisational convenience or reputation. WINA follows national safeguarding guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education, and works in line with Bexley Safeguarding Children Partnership procedures.
Raising a concern
If somebody is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services. For a concern relating to a WINA learner, staff member or activity, contact the safeguarding team promptly. Do not use a general website form for an urgent emergency.
Designated safeguarding team
Mercy Laditi is the SENDCo and Designated Safeguarding Lead. Mojisola Adeagbo is the Deputy Safeguarding Lead. Safeguarding enquiries can be sent to info@winatutorialcollege.co.uk.
How we work
Safer recruitment and appropriate vetting; staff induction and annual safeguarding training; clear conduct and professional boundaries; risk assessment; prompt recording and response; and partnership with families, Local Authorities and relevant agencies.
Privacy and information sharing
Safeguarding information is handled sensitively, but confidentiality cannot be promised where somebody may be at risk. Information is shared only where necessary and lawful.
Contact safeguarding
If you have a safeguarding concern relating to WINA, contact the safeguarding team promptly. If somebody is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services.
