Terms and conditions
Please read these terms before accepting a tuition arrangement or completing the relevant registration form.
Tuition arrangements
Tutors working with WINA are experienced and are subject to the organisation’s terms and expectations. Learners are expected to respect the staff and tutors working with them.
Responsibility during sessions
WINA has responsibility for a learner only during their registered session. The organisation cannot take responsibility once the learner leaves the premises, including at the start, during or at the end of a session.
Assessment, planning and examinations
Following an initial assessment of prior knowledge, WINA agrees a realistic tutoring plan with the learner, including relevant examination dates. Examinations may be arranged by the learner’s school or by WINA for an additional fee for home-educated or private candidates.
Homework and study
Learners may bring school homework for practice linked to topics covered. WINA may also provide homework where necessary and expects assigned work to be completed.
Fees and payment
Fees are listed on the website and may change with at least one term’s notice. Payments are made monthly in advance and are due on the last working day of the preceding month. Lessons commence or continue once cleared payment has been received.
Absences
WINA is unable to provide refunds for absences. Where a learner misses a lesson because of illness or another special circumstance, the lesson may be rescheduled to a suitable time. Consistent absence without notice or prior arrangement may result in the place being allocated to another learner.
Cancellations and withdrawal
WINA does not encourage cancellation or withdrawal before a planned examination. Where a learner withdraws before an examination, one month’s notice is required. Unless otherwise requested, WINA will assume tuition is no longer required after the targeted examinations.
Acceptance of the relevant terms should be confirmed on the registration or enquiry form before a recurring tuition arrangement begins.
